Report Cards
Report cards will be mailed to you in the next few weeks. If you haven't received them by the middle of June, please call the office. 

PLAS Summer Office Hours
The office will be closed until the beginning of June. From the 1st week in June throughout the rest of the summer, the school office will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

End of the Year Party

Your child does not need to bring a book bag tomorrow. All your child needs to bring tomorrow is things for the swimming party (some kids need to return Graded Papers).

Please have your child come to school with sunscreen already on and with their swimsuits on. Boys can just wear a t-shirt over their swim trunks and girls need to wear a cover-up or shorts and t-shirt over their swimsuits. After we swim, everyone will need to change into a clean set of clothes. Please send their change of clothes with them to school in a bag. Your child will also need a towel and anything else they might need to help them swim. The outside pool and splash pad should be open tomorrow as well as the inside pool. We will swim from 10:00-11:30 and then go to the room reserved to eat. We will eat from 11:30-12:30 and then we will go play on the new playground until time to go back to school. We should be back at school around 2:30.

ALL PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO COME TO THE PARTY.

Honor's Day
Monday is Honor's Day at 9:00 in the morning. Please have your child dress in "church attire" just like they did for our plays. I plan on taking a class picture before Honor's Day since we will all be dressed so nice.

Pet Day
The reason I haven't written anything about our 1st Grade Pet Day is because I had to take it away from this class. I really don't like punishing the few kids who didn't deserve this punishment, but since it is a class reward, I have to take it away as a class. I wrote the letters --Pet Day-- on the board and a letter was erased when the class as a whole was misbehaving and we are now all erased so that means no Pet Day this year. :-(

Drivers
I have plenty of drivers to take us over to the Rec Center on Wednesday next week. They are Morgan Jordan and Tammy Law. I will also be driving my car if needed, but I don't think we will need any extra seats for. ALL PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS PARTY! You may meet us there at 10:00.

Remember the Talent Show is tonight in the cafetorium at 6:30. Come and watch all of the "stars" here at PLAS!

My husband had appendicitis and had to have his appendix removed over the weekend. He is doing well but cannot do much for himself and is still in the hospital. Hopefully he will be released soon. I will return on Wednesday.
The Measurement Test and Handwriting Test will still be given tomorrow by the sub.

Talent Show Rehearsal
The talent show rehearsal is Tuesday at 5:30.  Please bring any props and music you will be using.

PLAS Field Day
The PLAS Physical Education Department’s Field Day will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. for K-4 thru 6th grades on the football field. 

Reminders:

• Wear athletic attire and tennis shoes. No swim-suits, flip-flops, or sandals.  
• Sunglasses and hats are allowed; however, the students are responsible for their belongings. 
• Students will need to apply sunscreen before they arrive at school Wednesday because the weather will be warm. :-) 
• Gatorade, water, and candy will be for sale during field day. Students can bring money to purchase snacks during the day. 

WE WILL STILL HAVE WORK WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND TESTS WILL STILL BE GIVEN.

Lunch on Tuesday, May 13
Lunch will be a packed box lunch on Tuesday and will need to be pre-ordered by Monday. If your child will be ordering on Tuesday, May 13 please let me know by Monday. The box lunch will consist of either a ham/cheese sandwich or turkey/cheese sandwich, chips, fruit, cookies, and a bottle of water. The cost will be $5.22.
