Patriot Marketplace
This year's Patriot Marketplace will be November 22 from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm and November 23 from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. The PTO is sponsoring gift baskets that will be auctioned off. Each grade level is given a theme for their basket and 1st grade theme is "Pamper Yourself" and we are to bring items such as candles, body wash, lotion, etc. Please bring your items by November 15th to add to our basket.

About Mrs. Blackwell

This is my 6th year at PLA and I am excited to begin the 2013-2014 school year. I am from Montgomery, AL where I went to Jeff Davis High School and then came to Troy. I am a graduate of Troy University (GO TROJANS) where I got a degree in elementary education.(I also am a bigtime Auburn football fan!) I have a younger brother who went to Macon-East in Montgomery (I know...big PLA rival.) I was married to Josh Blackwell on December 12, 2009. He works in Montgomery at a medical drug distribution warehouse and as a football/baseballl coach at Macon East (I know...I know...). I had a little girl on July 6th, 2013. Her name is Laken Gray Blackwell. She was born a little early but is super duper healthy. She was born 5 1/2 weeks early and weighed 5 pounds and 12 ounces. She was 20 1/4 inches long. I am so in love with this little angel. I am so excited to begin this 2013-2014 school year. I know this will be a great year with this group of great kids.
