I am very upset to say that we have had a theft in the classroom. A necklace was taken off of a student's desk today. I searched their desks, bookbags, and even the trashcans and did not find it. I was hoping the person would return it. After we went to the restroom, it miraculously appeared in the trashcan...the one I already had searched. (Yuck!) So we eventually found the item stolen but the person who took it still has not admitted to it. I am very upset. Everyone pointed the finger at someone else. I explained to them about lying and accusing others especially when they don't really know who did it and I hope the person who took it does the right thing and comes to me to let me know. They need to know that taking something that does not belong to them it is stealing, even if it is just a pencil or a necklace. Please discuss with your child and remind them of the seriousness of stealing, lying, and accusing others. Thank you.
