Book Fair
The Book Fair is in the library this week. A wish list came home in your child's folder today. If they plan to shop, please send money in a labeled Ziploc and I will let them go at a convenient time during our day.

Pike T-shirt Packet
A t-shirt packet came home today as well. Anyone interested in ordering, send orders by Friday.

WE WILL BE CELEBRATING COY'S BIRTHDAY ON THURSDAY. HE WILL BRING PIZZA AND CUP CAKES. HE WILL ALSO BE PROVIDING DRINKS FOR US. EVERYONE WILL NEED TO BRING A SNACK FOR THE AFTERNOON.

Show-and-Tell
We will be having Show-and-Tell for our Fun Friday this week. Your child may bring anything that is not living.

Please check the field trip tab for information on our Stephen Fite field trip. We will be eating at Chick-fil-A in Montgomery again. Money due soon!

About Mrs. Blackwell

This is my 6th year at PLA and I am excited to begin the 2013-2014 school year. I am from Montgomery, AL where I went to Jeff Davis High School and then came to Troy. I am a graduate of Troy University (GO TROJANS) where I got a degree in elementary education.(I also am a bigtime Auburn football fan!) I have a younger brother who went to Macon-East in Montgomery (I know...big PLA rival.) I was married to Josh Blackwell on December 12, 2009. He works in Montgomery at a medical drug distribution warehouse and as a football/baseballl coach at Macon East (I know...I know...). I had a little girl on July 6th, 2013. Her name is Laken Gray Blackwell. She was born a little early but is super duper healthy. She was born 5 1/2 weeks early and weighed 5 pounds and 12 ounces. She was 20 1/4 inches long. I am so in love with this little angel. I am so excited to begin this 2013-2014 school year. I know this will be a great year with this group of great kids.
